My wife and I were taking a drive to see Tecopa for the first time when we found the road that led to this place. What a beautiful sight this must have been before the idiots and vandals destroyed it. Even the statue of Christ of the Andes was desegrated. We would love to see this place rebuilt and clean up. If there is anyone out there with the same spirit and would love to see this place rebuilt and cleanup you can count us in
We agree with your sentiments whole heartedly. Amber has said more than once I should try and start a restoration project.
Other than the time involved, I wouldn’t know where to start, and I would venture to say there are folks out there who know SO much more than I do, let alone are MUCH more vested than I am..
That said, I would love to be a part of an effort to restore it just for the fun of it. From what I have read, others have tried to renovate it. But my understanding is that it now belongs to a land investment group? The rumor I read was they were not interested in folks traipsing through it for insurance reasons.
Is it true or not? I have no idea. Haven’t really done much more than surf around like everyone else.
Thanks for taking the time to write however, nice to hear from you!
Just finished reading the story of the renegade indian. My wife and I are are going to go looking for that cave.I think I know where it is.As for Cathedral,a shame indeed and also goes to show the sad mental state it takes to desecrate such a place. My wife and I were fortunate enough to have seen it before them bastards vandalized it.Im not overtly religious but I do believe in Karma and I know they will get theirs. The evil that men do.
